The prestige of being on the cover of the magazine is usually given to Presidents, World Leaders, or Nobel winners who have a huge impact on the world.

For faster recuperation, Ariz had Pacquiao wear a cap on his right knee on occasion.

“Support lang siya para baka bumalik yung sakit,” Pacquiao replied when asked about the injury. Ariza, however, said the pain can always return.

“Anything could come back. At this point in time the pain is evaded, the swelling is gone, the bruising seems to have gone. He feels comfortable now,” noted Ariza.

The conditioning coach revealed that he will probably remove Pacquiao’s knee cap on the week of his upcoming boxing fight so that “he’ll be used to not having it.”

Pacquiao is currently preparing for the toughest fight of his life against World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Miguel Cotto this November 14.

After the “Firepower” boxing bout, the pound-for-pound king will stage a concert-party with Filipino artist Madonna Decena. He has been rehearsing with a band shortly before leaving for more boxing training in the US.

From an interview in ABS-CBN, Pacquiao said, “We have to continue our training kahit nandito sa America. We have two more weeks of hard training.” He will face the pride of Puerto Rico, Miguel Cotto on November on November 14, 2009.

Freddy Roach, Pacman’s boxing trainer, said that he is proud of Pacquiao’s workout on the first day in the U. S.

According to Roach, he said that, “He’s punching harder. He’s really grown into the weight. He’s punching really good. He has knockout power in both hands.” He also said that the typhoon that hit Baguio City, where they trained for weeks until they moved to Manila for fear of being stuck there, had no negative effects on his preparations for the fight.”

He added, “People think that with the typhoon, we had some problems but we worked right through it. We worked as usual. It didn’t slow us down a bit.”

And the People’s Champ seemed to get some inspiration from the typhoon victims to work and train harder to win. “He knows how to make them happy again and that’s him winning the fight, so he’s going to work even harder. This actually works in our favor.”

The six-time world champion pound for pound king trained for weeks in the Philippines shifted gears and has now moved his team to L. A. to finish the final leg of his rigid training at the Wild Card Gym. The names of the three ringside judges have also been announced by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.Dave Moretti, Duane Ford, and Adalaide Byrd are slated to score the bout on November 14. The three have had great experiences judging big fights in the past. But Byrd has been taking the most slack in recent years, though.

The decisioin has been prompted because of the possibilty of being stuck in Baguio in the event that the storm may cause massive flooding and landslides just like what happened just a few weeks ago. He is now facing the heat that Manila is offering, a condition he is somewhat complaining to because he is used to training in cool, or even cold weathers of Baguio, Nevada, and Southern California.

He is slated to leave to the US, where he will continue training, on Saturday night so he can resume his training at the Wild card on Monday.
